DISINFO: The US destroyed Nord Stream 2 to keep Europe dependent on expensive US gas

But America destroyed the pipelines because the secret American policy is to keep Germany and Europe dependent on expensive American gas supplies, so the businessman is unlikely to get permission. If the Ukrainian crisis were to end, there would likely be huge pressure to get the pipelines repaired from a Europe starved of energy. Any new owner would become immensely rich. But even then, given the hostility of US policy toward the project, there’s no guarantee that the repaired pipelines wouldn’t be blown up again.

This is an attempt to exploit news reports about US investor Stephen Lynch’s request for permission to bid in the possible Nord Stream sale in 2025 to promote a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative blaming the US for the Nord Stream sabotage, of which there is no actual evidence. Talking about unsubstantiated allegations as if they were already proven while introducing minor variations or new elements, as in this case, is a frequent pro-Kremlin disinformation technique.
While the question of who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines remains unresolved, investigations from German and US media, Germany’s prosecutor office and other European police investigators point to the involvement of a recreational yacht called ‘Andromeda’ manned by a Ukrainian person. German officials have issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man identified as Volodymyr Z. as a main suspect. Nothing of what has been publicly released in these investigations points to any possible US participation.
