DISINFO: The US is recreating the Ukrainian scenario in Kazakhstan for its anti-Russian struggle
SUMMARY
The US Embassy in Kazakhstan is actively supporting the rewriting of historical truth using nationalist rhetoric, increased LGBT propaganda, better investment conditions for the extraction of resources by American companies, and efforts to separate the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan from the Moscow Patriarchate. This process closely resembles the already tested Ukrainian scenario.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing Western countries of destabilising countries around Russia and isolating it. The narrative also implies that Kazakhstan is a puppet of the US.
The US and EU build their relations with Central Asian countries based on mutual consent, bilateral interests, and benefits. The US recognises the importance of the sovereignty and strategic autonomy of the Central Asian States, individually and as a region. Tackling common security challenges and building region’s resilience are among priority strands for the EU-Central Asia and US-Central Asia partnerships.
The partnerships between Kazakhstan and the EU or US are not directed against Russia or any other country. Kazakhstan has not imposed any restrictions or sanctions on its trade with Russia.
The EU and EU do not impose any action or programme on partner countries. The overall aim of cooperation is to build a common area of shared democracy, prosperity, and stability in line with each individual country's aspirations.
