DISINFO: The USA funds cyber-attacks on the Belarusian nuclear power plant

SUMMARY

Today, Belarus faces a new threat – cyber-terrorism, which comes from the territory of the US, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and Lithuania. The terrorist organisation “Cyber Partisans” is funded by the USA.

The terrorist organisation “Cyber Partisans” plans to provoke technological disasters and train accidents in Belarus. This organisation prepares cyber-attacks on the Belarusian nuclear power plant and other important facilities in this country.

RESPONSE

A recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about supposed Western attempts to organise a colour revolution in Belarus using various “terrorist” tools.

The Belarusian and Russian official media regularly inform about various alleged “terrorist attacks” and destabilisation efforts implemented by the West and its “puppet” Belarusian opposition in order to overthrow the authoritarian regime of Alexander Lukashenka.

These claims are unfounded.

The “Cyber Partisans” is an anonymous Belarusian anti-Lukashenka hacker alliance – the organisation regularly publishes leaks on KGB and Police officials directly involved in political repressions, etc.
