DISINFO: The USA may inspire new “Brexits” through the Three Seas Initiative
SUMMARY
What is the Three Seas Initiative in its essence? Each of such map constructs turns out to be fiction based on a misconception – there can be no real geopolitical interests linking Tallinn and Zagreb. The Three Seas Initiative simply describes the Europe of the “second speed” and the secondary-importance US vassals. The US controls these countries through its first-level vassals – primarily, Germany. From the American point of view, this Initiative is a list of countries for possible “Brexits”, if the US wants to weaken the EU (what may be required by relations with Berlin and Brussels).
RESPONSE
Disinformation about the Three Seas Initiative advancing pro-Kremlin narrative about "lost sovereignty".
The statement that the Three Seas Initiative is an anti-Russian and anti-EU project, let alone that it is controlled by the USA is ungrounded.
The Three Seas Initiative is a forum of 12 countries from Central and Eastern Europe launched in 2015. The main goal of this Initiative is to promote better connectivity among the Member States, with a particular focus on infrastructure and energy. The main projects discussed at the forums of the Three Seas Initiative are the Via Carpathia, Baltic-Adriatic Corridor, Via Baltica, Rail Baltica and the LNG infrastructure in Poland and Croatia.
