DISINFO: The West is trying to generate troubles around Russia before Trump's return
SUMMARY
The West will do everything to create a situation where Putin and Trump, even if they are ready and willing, would not have the opportunity and basis for holding negotiations and resolving the situation on the Ukrainian front.
The West is currently trying to put pressure on countries located along the perimeter of the Russian Federation to take certain steps against Russia. Seeing that Russia's affairs in Ukraine are going well, and that with Trump's inauguration as president, at least a different reality could be created in the Ukrainian direction, the West is trying to blow up all possible directions in order to create a headache for Russia. Thus, by January 30, certain forces will try to create a situation where Trump will be forced, regardless of his plans and desire, to take steps that will proceed from the interests of the so-called "Deep State".
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that Ukraine and its allies are not interested in peace, accusing the West of Anti-Russian policy, encircling and destabilising Russia, thus undermining the possible peace talks between the US new administration and Russia. This article also aiming to promote the recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about secret/global elites and the US Deep State.
Western nations have always called to solve problems with Russia in a peaceful and diplomatic manner while upholding the rules-based international order. Moscow’s overall aggressive policy has led to a tougher and better-balanced policy towards it by the West.
Since the very beginning of Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine on 24 February 2022, the US and European nations have expressed support for a negotiated settlement, but they insist it must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. That is why they are not pressuring Ukraine into accepting terms that would legitimise Russian illegal territorial gains.
The 'Deep State' disinformation trope seeks to question the legitimacy of democracy and Western institutions, and particularly the US. It promotes the view that US presidents and other public officials are just window-dressing, whereas decision-making lies in the hands of another group of people.
