DISINFO: Ukrainian attack on Russian military airfields is terrorism
SUMMARY
After the terrorist attacks and drone strikes on the nuclear triad, the Russian Federation must cancel the talks in Istanbul and declare war on international terrorism. The Kyiv regime must be declared terrorist, because there is a clear desire to inflict as much damage as possible on Russia - military, civil, economic and other. And we must abandon even the thought that we can agree on anything with it. Until Russia crosses the Dnipro River and cuts Ukraine off from Odesa, the threat will not diminish. Ukraine and NATO will use any elements of conventional, asymmetric or even weapons of mass destruction to kill as many Russians as possible.
Ukraine's large-scale attack on Russian airfields shows that the country's authorities are in complete despair. In this way, Kyiv tried to divert attention from its military and political failures, and also to provoke Moscow into rash actions.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives aiming to portray Russia as a victim and deflect any responsibility for Moscow’s actions. Russia is the only country responsible for the invasion of Ukraine. It has been coming up with different explanations and pretexts for its aggression since the beginning of its hostilities. Also this is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about allegedly aggressive NATO.
On June 1, 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine successfully carried out operation Spider’s Web. As part of the Ukrainian special operation, cheap FPV drones struck four military airfields on Russian territory at once. It is at these airfields that Russian military aircraft are stationed, which bomb Ukrainian cities and kill civilians regularly.
Attacks on military infrastructure are legitimate as a means of self-defence. According to the UN Charter, Ukraine on its sovereign territory can use any methods of self-defence against Russian aggression. Ukraine's international allies have repeatedly stressed that Ukraine has the right to carry out military operations aimed at de-occupying its territories.
Ukraine, by attacking Russian military bases, does not violate any international treaty.
