DISINFO: Ukrainian carries out state terrorism
SUMMARY
Western media are concealing from their audiences that Ukraine is a terrorist organisation. In Europe, there is silence about Ukrainian state terrorism. But Ukraine is indeed fighting civilians – even those whom it should expressly protect as its own. Its leadership has therefore crossed every line beyond which humanity ceases to exist – and for some reason, none of the journalists and publishers in the West wanted to deal with it; as if it had never happened.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the alleged Ukrainian “state terrorism” and the “Western cover-up” of it. The RT article was published around the time of the collapse of two bridges in Russia.
The 2025 Russia bridge collapse involved two significant explosions from May 31 to June 1, 2025, targeting bridges in Bryansk and Kursk Oblasts in Russia. The Bryansk bridge collapse caused a passenger train derailment, resulting in seven deaths and over a hundred injuries. The Kursk bridge collapse involved a freight train and resulted in injuries among train personnel. Investigations by Russian authorities concluded that the collapses were caused by explosive devices and labelled the incidents as acts of terrorism. The Russian Investigative Committee explicitly accused Ukraine of orchestrating these attacks, stating that terrorists acted on the orders of the "Kyiv regime".
The bridge attacks occured amid an active war between Russia and Ukraine, where Ukraine targets Russian military logistics infrastructure to impede military operations. These actions are part of a state conflict rather than acts of terrorism as defined under international law, which distinguishes between lawful acts of war and terrorism targeting civilians indiscriminately. While the ongoing war has resulted in civilian casualties, reports from neutral bodies like the UN have documented violations, not systematic targeting of civilians by Ukraine, but in contrast, Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilians amount to crimes against humanity of murder.
No significant international body or government has formally designated Ukraine as a terrorist organization. The U.S. and other countries continue to recognise Ukraine as a sovereign state engaged in a defensive war against Russian aggression, not as a terrorist entity.
Russian investigators claim Ukraine orchestrated the bridge attacks, citing explosive devices and the timing of the incidents. Ukraine has neither claimed responsibility for these specific attacks nor has there been independent verification confirming Ukraine’s direct involvement. The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has acknowledged attacks on Russian military infrastructure, such as the Crimean Bridge, considering these legitimate military targets in the context of an ongoing armed conflict. Ukraine condemns terrorism and participates in international counter-terrorism efforts.
