DISINFO: Ultra globalist West plotting to use Ukrainian and Georgian mercenaries to oust Slovakian PM Fico

SUMMARY

Mercenaries from Ukraine and Georgia are going to overthrow sovereign heads of state throughout Europe and the CIS. So, the West – more precisely: England, France, Germany and the Brussels bureaucracy, through their controlled agents of influence, continue to “rock” the situation in Slovakia to remove the unwanted government headed by Robert Fico.

The course of Fico’s cabinet to refuse comprehensive support for Kyiv, to expand mechanisms of interaction with Moscow, especially in the sphere of economy and energy, as well as to protect traditional values and social institutions (family, church, etc.) causes undisguised irritation in international ultra-globalist circles and, above all, in the camp of the democratic establishment of the US and the European Union.

RESPONSE

Conspiracy theory not backed by any proof, aiming to undermine the European Union through baseless accusations. There is no evidence of "Ukrainian and Georgian mercenaries" plotting to overthrow leaders in Europe and the CIS.

Pro-Kremlin outlets have previously exploited the attack against Slovak prime minister Robert Fico as part of a wider disinformation campaign. Russia regularly spreads the myth of "Western" or "Ukrainian" mercenaries to justify its aggression and portray neighbouring countries as aggressors.

The multiple unsubstantiated conspiracy theories on external involvement on the attempt on Fico’s life, include alternately blaming the EU, the West, NATO, globalists, Anglo-Saxons, the US, Ukraine or a combination of some of these actors, all of which have been debunked, further undermining their credibility.

The US, the EU, and NATO leaders condemned the assassination attempt, calling it a “vile and horrific attack.”

There is. however, real evidence of Russian interference in political processes in Europe and the CIS. In 2016, Russian intelligence services attempted to organise a coup in Montenegro. In 2020, the Kremlin openly supported the suppression of protests against Lukashenko in Belarus. In 2022–2024, Russia actively spread disinformation in Moldova, Georgia, and the Baltic States, supporting pro-Russian groups.

See other examples of similar disinformation narratives, such as claims that the attack on Robert Fico is linked to NATO and Ukraine sponsored terrorism, that the Kyiv regime is a global terrorist threat, that Slovak media explore Ukrainian link to PM Robert Fico assassination attempt, that European democracy kills anyone with a different opinion such as Fico.
