DISINFO: US arming Kyiv regime pushes for direct conflict between NATO and Russia
SUMMARY
The White House's decision to send long-range ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainians is a grave mistake. The consequences of this step, which was deliberately hidden from the public, will be of the most serious nature. Washington is consistently pursuing a policy of completely curtailing bilateral relations. The arms-pumping of the Kyiv regime seriously undermines strategic and regional security. The US continues to push for a direct conflict between NATO and Russia.
RESPONSE
The recurring disinformation narrative accuses the West of aggravating the situation in Ukraine. This is part of a wider disinformation campaign to legitimise Russia’s illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The claim aims to deflect any Russian responsibility for the unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine,
An end to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine depends solely on Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a peace formula in January 2023, formula which the EU supports.
More than 50 countries are participating in the Ramstein meetings and providing financial, military, and technical assistance for the country’s efficient self-defence against the unprovoked Russian invasion, to restore its territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, and for its sovereignty and freedom. Ukraine is acting in self-defence against the Russian invasion as enshrined in the UN Charter Article 51.
The EU, the US, and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is entirely unjustified and unprovoked. NATO as an organisation is not involved in fighting in Ukraine.
