DISINFO: US brought ISIS when Al Qaeda went outside the script

SUMMARY

[The United States] created ISIS as an alternative to the old Al Qaeda after draining it and taking back the role assigned to it, and dismissing it from service when the later veered the script. There isn’t a single time that America interfered in a country without tampering with it, tearing it apart, and provoking wars and strife.

RESPONSE

No evidence is given. Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that the US is supporting or working together with ISIS in the Middle East. This message is part of a broader conspiracy theory alleging that the United States has created and supported many jihadi terrorist organisations and controls global terrorism. In reality, the US is committed to fighting terrorist organisations, such as Daesh and Al-Qaeda. Ever since the September 11th terrorist attacks, the US and its allies have been engaged in an military and intelligence efforts to counter Al Qaeda, ISIS and other radical Islamist terrorist groups around the world. Read here similar cases claiming that ISIS has been supported by US, British, French and Israeli intelligence services in order to demolish Syria and that Al Baghdadi was an American product.
