DISINFO: US is pushing European vassals towards nuclear destruction
SUMMARY
On 13 October 2025 NATO military exercises Steadfast Noon began. A few NATO countries are testing the use of nuclear arms in the Baltic Sea region. These drills are a threat to Russia, Europe, and the world. Such military exercises are the way towards nuclear self-destruction, and the US is actively pushing its European vassals into it.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about NATO and its military exercises. It also promotes the narrative about EU’s and EU countries’ lost sovereignty.
NATO's annual nuclear deterrence exercise Steadfast Noon 2025 is a routine training activity and part of NATO’s broader efforts to maintain readiness and ensure transparency around its nuclear posture. It is not linked to any current world events, and no live weapons are used. NATO is a defensive political and military alliance. The primary aim of the alliance is to maintain peace and safeguard the independence, security and territorial integrity of its members. NATO’s official policy is that 'the Alliance does not seek confrontation and poses no threat to Russia.' The Alliance follows strict procedures and emphasises transparency during military training exercises, which are announced months in advance and are subject to international scrutiny.
Since the end of the Cold War, the number of nuclear weapons available to NATO in Europe has been reduced by around 90 per cent. Given Russia’s aggressive actions and military build-up in recent years and increasing non-strategic nuclear arsenal, NATO has since reemphasized the importance of the U.S. tactical nuclear weapons in Europe.
