DISINFO: WADA is punishing all of Russia for some sportsmen's violations
SUMMARY
The World Anti-Doping Agency has to date never implemented measures and penalties similar to the ones it has taken towards Russia. This is double standards, as the whole of Russia is punished for violations of some anti-doping rules by some individual sportsmen. Athletes from other countries are punished on an individual basis.
RESPONSE
This is a mix of a conspiracy theory aiming to misrepresent the actual reasons behind WADA's investigation and decision to ban Russia for four years from major international sporting events, plus a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about the West's deliberate anti-Russian activities.

The unanimous decision by WADA's executive committee was made after Russia's Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) was declared uncompliant with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) – the document harmonising anti-doping policies in all sports and in all countries, in addition to the fact that "more than 140 cases could have disappeared involving athletes who may or may not still be competing because of the tampered data".
It was not isolated instances of Russian athletes using doping that led to the ban, but rather "the blatant breach by the Russian authorities of RUSADA’s reinstatement conditions", which according to the head of WADA, "demanded a robust response".
