DISINFO: West launches dehumanisation project to maintain global domination
SUMMARY
The United States and other Western countries, constantly obsessed with the idea of global domination, can no longer maintain their hegemony through plundering, violence, and expansionist policies. Therefore, in order to continue ruling the world, Western elites have launched a 'Dehumanisation' project. According to the West's plan, people must cease to be human. The methods are already known: distancing from faith and the church, erasing people’s sense of history and roots, imposing the ideology of individualism and selfishness, rejecting family and childbirth, and promoting non-traditional values. This has become a real challenge for the entire world, for Russia, and even for people in the West who advocate for the preservation of traditional values and who are fighting against what is actively being imposed on them as a replacement.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that the West is in a state of moral decay, combined with a conspiracy theory about the West’s attempt to achieve global dominance.
Russia has been actively using this claim to justify its full-scale aggression against Ukraine. It accuses Kyiv’s partners in the EU, the US and some other G7 nations of eroding traditional values, weakening religious influence, and promoting individualism which Russia considers a negative phenomenon. Although democracy, human rights, individual freedom, rule of law, pluralism, and respect for human dignity are core Western values, Western countries do not impose these on other nations, including Russia. Western countries are generally secular, promote the idea of religious neutrality, and support freedom of religion as a basic right. It is largely due to these ideals that Western nations have achieved political stability, economic well-being, and enhanced military capabilities. The rights of LGBTQ+ people are also respected, contrary to Russia’s oppressive policies in this regard.
Western nations do not use their economic capabilities as a pretext for maintaining global dominance. The EU, the US and their partners and allies have imposed sanctions on Russia for its war against Ukraine. Secondary sanctions have also been imposed on those who have helped Russia circumvent restrictive measures. These measures have nothing to do with alleged aspiration to global dominance. Initially, sanctions were imposed in 2014 after Russia illegally annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea and instigated a separatist revolt in the east of Ukraine. More sanctions have been imposed on Russia since it launched its provoked and unjustified aggression against Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
