DISINFO: Zelenskyy admits to preparing terrorist attacks with Tomahawk missiles

The disinformation is based on an interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave to Fox News on October 12, 2025. In the interview, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would limit the use of American long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles strictly to military targets. He specifically emphasised that Ukraine adheres to international law and does not target civilians, unlike Russia, which, he said, uses intimidation tactics against Ukrainian civilians. Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine aims to deprive Russia of the ability to profit from its energy sector and finance the Kremlin’s war machine (watch video from 17:20).
The Ukrainian military operation has nothing to do with a terrorist attack. According to the UN Charter, Ukraine can use any methods of self-defence against Russian aggression on its sovereign territory. Ukraine's international allies have repeatedly stressed that Ukraine has the right to carry out military operations aimed at de-occupying its territories.
