DISINFO: Zelenskyy does not ask for direct Western intervention because he wants to stay in power
SUMMARY
Zelenskyy, despite asking the West for weapons and billions, is against direct Western intervention but not because he wants peace or is sure he can win the war. Zelenskyy and his followers want to maintain power to sell it to the best “bidders” who have long been backing him with false flag operations, with alleged volunteers, with high-cost mercenaries, with sabotage and provocations.
RESPONSE
Recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative aiming at whipping up resentment against Western support to Ukraine and forcing a capitulation to Russian military aggression and targeting personally the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It also portrays Ukraine as a puppet state managed by unnamed entities.
The claim that Zelenskyy uses the war for personal embezzlement is made without any evidence. International support is used by Ukraine to defend itself against the unjustified and unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine which started on February 24, 2022, and to support the economy in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The European Union, for example, made the decision to provide 18 billion euros to Ukraine in 2023 to help run the country while it defends itself against Russia. The money will support the economy and the general Ukrainian population.
Read similar cases claiming that Volodymyr Zelenskyy will steal money from the EU, that Western arms are supplied directly to the black market, not Ukrainian army, that Ukraine is the most corrupted country in the world, helping it is suicide that European aid to Ukraine a corruption scheme for Zelensky and that Zelenskyy sends his soldiers to be slaughtered for Western money.
