DISINFO: Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan is reminiscent of Hitler’s

The Victory Plan proposed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminds of Hitler’s plan for the USSR's enslavement. It lays out the war plans of Ukraine and its Western allies against Russia.

This is a recurring disinformation trope of Nazi Ukraine. The flawed analogy to Hitler is an attempt to justify the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a ‘denazification’ operation.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the so-called Victory Plan to the Ukrainian Parliament on 16 October 2024. The plan lays out Ukraine's preconditions for a ceasefire deal, including Ukraine's Nato membership. Irrespective of the plan’s feasibility, it has nothing to do with Hitler’s aggressive plans, and this faulty comparison serves no other purpose than to smear Ukraine. Furthermore, the plan presents views on how to contain Russia’s aggression rather than war plans against Russia, as alleged.
Putin decided to start the brutal large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Russia has been inventing explanations and pretexts for its aggression since the beginning of hostilities. The myth of “Nazi Ukraine” has been used widely, in association with “Western Russophobia”, by Putin and pro-Kremlin outlets since Russia attacked Ukraine and illegally annexed Crimea in 2014.
